We are looking for an experienced and reliable Mechanic to join our busy accident repair centre. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong general mechanical knowledge who takes pride in carrying out repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will:
- Carry out general mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Have strong knowledge and experience of suspension, steering and cooling/coolant systems.
- Strip and refit vehicle trim and components as part of the repair process.
- Remove and refit bumpers, headlights and other vehicle components.
- Carry out door and wing alignment and ensure correct fit and finish.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Work closely with Panel Technicians and other members of the workshop team to ensure vehicles are repaired correctly first time.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and company procedures.
About You
You will ideally have experience working within an accident repair, Bodyshop or automotive environment, with a good understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair techniques.
You should be:
- Experienced in general mechanical repair.
- Confident working on suspension, steering and coolant systems.
- Comfortable with stripping and refitting vehicle components and trim.
- Able to work accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards.
- A team player with a positive and professional attitude.
- Reliable, organised and able to work to deadlines.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
