Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain a clean and safe environment within our educational facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all areas, including classrooms, hallways, and communal spaces, are hygienic and well-presented. This role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the learning environment by providing high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect classrooms, corridors, toilets, and other school facilities to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces regularly to maintain cleanliness throughout the premises.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any repairs or issues promptly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or hazards within the school premises.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans during school holidays or designated times.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
- Good organisational skills to manage daily cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexibly around school hours to minimise disruption.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is advantageous but not essential.
