Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, maintaining high culinary standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to prevent shortages or excesses
- Train new team members in service procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Assist in developing new drink menus and promotional offers to attract customers
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service, fostering a positive team environment
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, ideally as a bar supervisor or manager
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Extensive food preparation and cooking knowledge, including food safety standards
- Experience with serving customers in busy environments such as restaurants, hotels, or bars
- Knowledge of food production, kitchen experience, and culinary experience is advantageous
- Familiarity with hospitality operations, including hotel experience or working as a barista is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and service quality
- Leadership qualities with the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
