The Role
We’re looking for a reliable and hard-working Yard Operative to join our Kidderminster branch. This is a physical, hands-on role working in all weather conditions, operating forklifts, and supporting both deliveries and collections. You'll be a key part of the team ensuring safe, accurate, and timely movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Unload supplier deliveries and check goods against delivery notes.
- Pick and prepare customer orders for collection or delivery.
- Load and unload customer and company vehicles safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised yard.
- Provide friendly, helpful service to customers collecting materials.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment checks where required.
What You’ll Need
- A valid forklift licence (counterbalance and/or telehandler preferred).
- Experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar trade environment.
- Good awareness of building products (an advantage).
- Physical fitness and confidence with manual handling.
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- A customer-focused, team-first attitude
Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm. Saturday mornings on a rota.
