Working Pattern: Tuesday and Thursday 2.5 hours per shift 9am-11:30am
Job Summary:
As a Cleaner, you will have the all-important duty of enhancing our clients’ spaces. You’ll be part of a friendly team working together to create outstandingly clean and safe environments that make our clients happy.
This role is based within a retirement housing scheme in Chippenham. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the communal areas, including hallways, stairways, kitchens, and washrooms, helping to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
You will manage and complete various cleaning tasks safely and effectively, promptly reporting any issues and safety hazards. Your safety is critical to us, so we will ensure you know our latest policies and provide the necessary training to perform your role.
Key duties and responsibilities:
As a Cleaning Operative, you will be expected to:
- Provide cleaning services within the retirement housing scheme, ensuring high-quality service provision and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Clean communal areas including hallways, stairs, kitchens, and washrooms.
- Complete cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying bins, sanitising touch points, and other duties as required.
- Ensure good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and site staff.
- Keep up-to-date with good working practices, products, and techniques.
- Commit to equality and diversity and promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
- Comply with current Health and Safety legislation.
To be successful in the cleaning operative role, the skills you will need:
- Self-motivation, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
- Organisational skills.
- Awareness of relevant Health and safety practices and procedures.
