The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across assigned areas. This role ensures that all spaces are safe, tidy, and welcoming for staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitise, and maintain all designated areas including floors, surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Sweep, mop and vacuum
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately
- Clean mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and cleaning products
- Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed
- Use cleaning equipment safely (e.g., vacuums, mops)
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damages to the supervisor
- Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for the environment being cleaned
Skills & Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
Working Hours
Monday 3 hours per day
Tuesday to Friday 2 hours per day
