We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Wellbeing Mentor to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and mentoring sessions to support young people's emotional wellbeing and personal development.
- Design and deliver engaging wellbeing activities tailored to the needs of children and youth, encouraging participation and self-expression.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create holistic support plans for mentees.
- Promote positive behavior, resilience, and healthy coping strategies through interactive workshops and group sessions.
- Monitor progress of mentees, maintaining detailed records of activities, achievements, and areas for further support.
- Advocate for mental health awareness within the community by organizing events and informational sessions.
- Support children with special educational needs by adapting approaches to ensure inclusive participation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching or mentoring young people, particularly in youth work or educational settings.
- Strong understanding of mental health issues affecting children and adolescents.
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs or require additional support.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to plan engaging activities that promote wellbeing, resilience, and personal growth.
- Compassionate attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Relevant qualifications in youth work, education, or mental health support are highly desirable.
Working pattern
Term time every Thursday and Friday 9am - 4pm. Must have experience mentoring children of primary school and secondary school age and with some interest/experience delivering mentoring and physical activitiy interventions. This will take place at a 6th form in South Birmingham.

Pay: £91.00-£98.00 per day
Work Location: In person
