Early Years Educator Apprentice – Level 3
Location: Strethall Farm Cottage, Strethall, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB11 4XJ
Salary: £8.00 – £12.21 per hour
Contract: 18-month apprenticeship
Hours: Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 6:00pm

You will learn from experienced practitioners, develop your childcare skills and play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
The Role
As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will become an important part of the nursery team. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to provide high-quality care, learning and support for children.
You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with children and their families while developing your knowledge and confidence within a real Early Years setting.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting engaging activities that encourage children's learning, development and creativity.
- Working with individual children and small groups to support their development.
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.
- Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.
- Preparing and using resources to support learning and play.
- Supervising children and helping to maintain their health, safety and wellbeing.
- Observing children's development and contributing to accurate records.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Following nursery policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
- Working towards and completing all elements of the Level 3 apprenticeship programme.
- Taking part in training and development opportunities to build your knowledge and confidence.
What We're Looking For
You don't need years of childcare experience – we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring and genuinely interested in helping young children learn and grow.
The successful candidate will ideally have:

- A genuine interest in working with children aged under five.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- The confidence to use initiative when appropriate.
- Basic IT and administrative skills.
- The ability to keep clear and accurate records.
- A willingness to learn, develop and take on new responsibilities.
