Overview
We are seeking experienced and dedicated CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) time-served painters and decorators to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bring your proven skills and craftsmanship to a variety of construction projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with attention to detail and quality standards
- Follow project specifications and technical drawings to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by managing waste and adhering to health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members, site managers, and clients to coordinate work schedules and progress updates
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making touch-ups or corrections as needed
- Operate relevant tools and equipment safely and efficiently throughout each project phase
Experience
- Proven experience as a painter and decorator within the construction industry, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Time-served apprenticeship or recognized certification demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of painting and decorating techniques
- Valid driving license is highly desirable for travel between sites
- Strong communication skills in English to understand project requirements and collaborate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of construction painting standards, safety protocols, and environmental considerations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse project environments
