Experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic & MOT Tester
Thornliebank Motor Engineers is an established independent workshop and MOT testing station serving the Southside of Glasgow for over 30 years. We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and/or MOT Tester to join our friendly and professional team.
Immediate start available for the right candidate.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out:
- MOT testing (where qualified)
- Vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
- General workshop duties while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service
No unrealistic KPI targets & minimal paperwork allowing you to focus on the job.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
- MOT Tester qualification preferred but not essential
- Previous experience working in a busy workshop environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Optional overtime available on Saturdays
Salary
Competitive rate of pay, negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
