About the Role
Buchanans Grab n Go is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Full-Time Chef to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for preparing fresh food, maintaining high kitchen standards, and ensuring our customers receive quality food and excellent service every day.
What You'll Be Preparing
Our menu includes a variety of freshly prepared takeaway and café-style food, including:
- Breakfast rolls and hot breakfast items
- Sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and baked potatoes
- Fish & chips and other hot meals
- Burgers, pizzas, and loaded fries
- Light snacks and daily specials
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure food is presented well and served promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen.
- Follow all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and help minimise food waste.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Support the team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and organised.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Working Hours
- Monday to Saturday
- 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 48 hours per week
- Applicants must be available to work these hours.
