Job Title: Paediatric Complex Carer
Location: Watford
Hours: Mon and Tues - 10.00am - 15.00pm. Sat 8.00am - 16.00pm
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Complex Carer to provide one-to-one care for a child with complex health needs. The ideal candidate will be confident in advanced clinical care tasks, including deep suctioning and ventilation management, CPR, and the ability to respond calmly and appropriately in an emergency.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care for a child with complex medical needs in the home environment.
- Safely perform deep suctioning and ventilation monitoring in line with care plans.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate care records.
- Support the child’s daily routine, including personal care, feeding, mobility, and activities.
- Accompany the child to appointments, school, or therapy sessions where required.
- Respond calmly and effectively to any medical emergencies.
- Work collaboratively with family members, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the child’s dignity, safety, and comfort at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in paediatric complex care.
- Competency in deep suctioning and ventilation care (essential).
- Knowledge of PEG feeding, seizure management, and medication administration (desirable).
- Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable with a child-centred approach.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
