Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing design projects, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring the successful realisation of engineering solutions across various disciplines. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and realisation of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within systems or processes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Develop detailed schematics and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
- Utilise simulation tools for system modelling and performance optimisation as necesary.

- Analyse signal processing requirements and develop solutions using C++, Python, Perl, or other relevant programming languages.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration, including electrical engineering, mechanical design, and surface mount technology (SMT).as required
- Perform debugging, soldering, and testing of electronic components; ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including schematics, system design reports, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate project timelines, resources utilisation, and communicate progress effectively with stakeholders.
Skills
The Ideal Role holder must have
- The ability to communicate effectively, particularly all Technical design and project aspects, to both internal and external Stakeholders
- Extensive experience of leading Engineering projects from inception to delivery, working to tight deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks for production of detailed technical drawings & models.
- a current understanding of electrical engineering principles including schematics creation and system design methodology.
- Understanding of the Design and development of all aspects of PCBA
- Proven ability in root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM microcontrollers, firmware development, and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and electronic component testing.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to product design optimisation and integration processes.

Pay: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
