We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer (Pipe Fitter) to join our team, specialising in the installation of fire suppression systems across the waste management industry and other industrial/commercial environments. This role involves UK-wide travel and working away from home Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of mechanical fire suppression systems (pipework, fittings, and associated components).
- Working within waste management facilities and other industrial/commercial sites, often in challenging environments.
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely, adhering to site-specific and company H&S procedures.
- Supporting project delivery teams with installation, commissioning, and project handover.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism on-site.
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in industrial or commercial site installation.
- IPAF 3a & 3b (Working at Height).
- Harness Training (current and valid).
- Valid CSCS or CCNSG Card.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home during the working week (Mon–Fri).
Desirable Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 1, 2, 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Pipe Fitting, or Fabrication.
- Geberit Mapress training (advantageous).
