Depending on level of experience, the role will help deliver and possibly lead technical safety projects nationally and internationally. These projects cover a wide range of facilities and plant, processes and operations, for example:
Distilleries
Civil nuclear
On/offshore oil and gas exploration, production, decommissioning.
Renewable energy
The role would involve travel to UK and world-wide locations to meet project requirements, applicants must therefore hold a valid passport and licence that allows for driving in the UK.
Candidates should have some of the following key skills:

Facilitating hazard identification workshops such as HAZOP, PHA and/or HAZID
-
Certification of HAZOP Leader training via a recognized body, e.g., TUV Rheinland, IChemE, etc.
- Bowtie analysis and the derivation of Safety Critical Equipment

DSEAR Risk Assessment and Hazardous Area Classification
-
Fire risk management
-
Performance Standards
-
SIL, LOPA and RAM studies
-
Functional Safety
-
COMAH Safety Report and/or Safety Case development
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in some or all, of the following areas:

Scoping new work and preparing or coordinating competitive bids

Planning and managing the delivery of projects from proposal to successful delivery and project closure
-
Devising key Safety Case and risk management arguments – hazard identification, risk analysis, designation of proportionate safety measures and ALARP demonstration

Technical report writing, communicating effectively and managing interfaces with stakeholders (internally and externally)
