Duties
- Provide expert hair cutting, colouring, styling, and finishing services tailored to individual client needs
- Offer personalised consultations to recommend suitable treatments and styles
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends, techniques, and products in the hairdressing industry
- Ensure all tools and workstations are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage loyalty and repeat business
- Assist in managing appointment schedules efficiently to optimise salon flow
- Promote retail sales of haircare products by advising clients on suitable options
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a stylist with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse skills in cutting, colouring, and styling
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in hairdressing or cosmetology
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and interpret client preferences
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple appointments effectively
- A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and staying current with industry trends
- Ability to work well within a team whilst also demonstrating independence and initiative
