We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and private homes. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable adults and children, supporting their daily needs and promoting independence. The role requires a caring attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of those in your care. Experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting individuals with mobility and transferring, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Preparing nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements..
- Administering medication in accordance with prescribed instructions
- Providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
- Managing behaviour challenges with patience and understanding
- Assisting with activities of daily living to foster independence
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Responding promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when needed
Skills
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, or senior care practices
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards vulnerable individuals
- Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and their families
- Reliable driving skills for client transportation purposes
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking
- Organisation skills for managing multiple clients’ needs efficiently
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,109.45 per year
