Come make mushroom kits with us!
I'm Dom, I run Sporogenesis. We make mushroom grow kits and cultivation supplies out of a unit in Castleford. Right now it's just me and one other, and I'm after someone full-time to properly join the team.
Most of the job is making things: mixing and sterilising substrate, packing grain, building grow kits, getting orders out the door. It's hands-on and there's a rhythm to it. Some of it's repetitive, I won't pretend otherwise, but there's something satisfying about making the stuff people use to grow their own mushrooms.
The other half is the fun bit. I want Sporogenesis louder online, and a lot of what we do is weirdly watchable. The process shots, a kit fruiting in timelapse, all of it. If you're the sort who'd happily film a quick reel of what you're up to that day, that's a big plus. No need to be a pro, just up for it.
What I'm really after is someone reliable who turns up, gives a damn, and is into this stuff. The mushroom side I can teach. Turning up and caring I can't.
The details: full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, £13 an hour, based at our unit in Castleford (WF10).
