Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member and Dessert Maker to join our vibrant team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving delicious desserts in a lively dessert bar environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a welcoming demeanour to ensure our guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Prepare and assemble a variety of desserts according to established recipes and standards
- Serve desserts and beverages efficiently, ensuring presentation meets quality expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dessert station and front of house area
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Follow food safety regulations diligently, including proper storage, handling, and hygiene practices
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, ideally within a dessert bar/bubble tea shop/café setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and sales potential
- Experience in serving customers confidently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
