Summary of Role:
The Project Engineer will plan Customer work call-offs by way of specifying work content, determining and ordering the relevant materials, creating job documents and ensuring all other relevant information is present prior to work commencing.
The Project Engineer will liaise with Customers and internal stakeholders to ensure that full preparations are made to allow for successful delivery of projects and maximising Customer satisfaction.
As part of the work call-off process the Project Planner will update CAD drawings with the network status and will also identify and process contract variations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· Review Customer work call-offs and liaise with the Project Manager
· Create and/or populate work requests with relevant information
· Produce 2D CAD drawings at different stages of the Operations process
· Create work instructions based on Customer requirements and approved design information
· Identify and process contract variations relating to planned works
· Specify content of material orders and process with suppliers
· Make decisions on work planning dates and allocate labour accordingly
· Arrange hire of plant/equipment in relation to planned works
· Preparation, submission and administering of Streetworks notices in compliance with current legislation where required
· Review and process incoming data and documents from field operatives/sub-contractors
· Communicate with relevant operatives/sub-contractors and other individuals to resolve issues relating to planned works
· Manage key information flows in line with internal and external processes
· Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health, Safety and Quality Management
· Carry out any activities related to the role
· Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills
Person Specification:
· A strong working knowledge of IT systems – Microsoft packages and AutoCAD (additional training on this element will be provided where required)
· Ability to prioritise workload effectively with strong time management and organisational skills
· Able to absorb new technical information and apply to work processes
· Collaborative mindset, working effectively within a team to achieve shared goals
· Proactive and driven to achieve personal and Company objectives

Pay: £26,147.00-£30,500.00 per year
