We are recruiting for a school or college leaver to join the team at Davlyn Construction as an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor. As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor you will undertake a degree in Quantity Surveying at Nottingham Trent University (part time/day release). The successful applicant will not be required to pay any University course fees.
The company will invest in you to develop you into a commercial professional who will be responsible for, and capable of, undertaking the commercial management of exciting and varied construction projects. A positive ‘can do’ attitude is needed when approaching the role, to achieve your greatest potential. You will need to demonstrate very good communication skills, an attention to detail, together with strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills. You will need the ability to work to deadlines and work well within a team. The opportunity is diverse and rewarding for the right candidate.
Main Duties
- Assisting the estimator with initial subcontract enquiries.
- Measurement from drawings and completed works on site.
- Analysis of subcontractor quotes.
- Procurement and placing orders with subcontractors & suppliers.
- Assisting in the valuation of variations.
- Assisting in project valuations and final accounts.]
You will be offered a competitive starting salary.
You will need ~112 UCAS points to gain entry onto the part time Chartered Surveyor, Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship (Quantity Surveying Pathway) BSc (Hons) at Nottingham Trent University.
