Job Purpose
We are looking for a Materials & Waste Driver to join our Cornwall team, supporting our Heating, Electrical and Building operations. You will play a key role in keeping our projects running smoothly by delivering materials, tools and equipment to site, as well as collecting and disposing of waste safely and responsibly.
This is a hands-on role that requires excellent time management, a proactive approach and a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards. You will work closely with our operational teams to ensure deliveries and collections are completed efficiently, helping our engineers and site teams provide an excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to sites and properties across Cornwall.
- Collect waste and surplus materials from Heating, Electrical and works.
- Sort, handle, and store waste in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.
- Transport waste to designated skips, recycling centres, or authorised disposal sites.
- Coordinate deliveries and collections with site teams and supervisors.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and report any defects or issues.
- Report any operational, safety, or environmental concerns to your supervisor.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies, driving regulations, and company procedures.
Skills/Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence with a good driving record.
- Good knowledge of Cornwall and the surrounding areas.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- A proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
