Social Worker – Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team

Seven Resourcing is currently recruiting an experienced Children with Disabilities (CWD) Social Worker to join a dedicated team in Dalkeith, Midlothian. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Children’s Social Worker looking for a rewarding locum role with flexible working arrangements and a competitive hourly rate.
Working within the Children with Disabilities Team, you will support children, young people, and families by completing assessments, developing care plans, and coordinating support to improve outcomes and promote independence.
You will work closely with families, carers, education providers, health professionals, and other multi-agency partners to ensure children with disabilities receive appropriate support tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities.
- Undertake assessments and develop person-centred care and support plans.
- Work alongside families and carers to identify strengths, needs, and appropriate interventions.
- Coordinate multi-agency support to achieve positive outcomes.
- Complete statutory visits, reviews, reports, and case recordings.
- Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and the wellbeing of children and young people.
- Support transition planning and preparation for key stages of development.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Previous experience within Children & Families or Children with Disabilities Social Work.
- Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
