HR Manager
Educational Sector | Full-time, 37 hours per week | £40,777 – £51,356 D.O.E
We are supporting a leading organisation within the educational sector to recruit an experienced HR Manager / HR Business Partner to join their HR team.
This is a varied and hands-on HR role, working closely with senior leaders, managers and employees across multiple sites. You’ll provide trusted advice across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, absence, well-being and HR policy.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Manage and support employee relations cases and HR processes.
- Lead and coordinate recruitment, selection, pre-employment checks and onboarding.
- Support managers with performance management, absence and employee wellbeing.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with UK GDPR and relevant legislation.
- Contribute to HR projects, training and the wider HR strategy.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced HR professional with:
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and employee relations.
- Experience managing a broad range of HR matters.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) is essential.
- Experience within education is desirable but not essential.
You’ll be approachable, adaptable and confident, with a genuine commitment to supporting employees and creating a positive workplace.
Please note: The role involves travel between school sites, so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.
Enhanced DBS clearance will be required for the successful applicant.
