Job Overview
We are seeking a LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) Floor Layer. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing LVT flooring across the site. Mastic skill is essential to finish LVT installation
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring they are ready for flooring installation
- Measure and cut LVT materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specific spaces
- Install LVT flooring according to schematics, manufacturer instructions, and project plans
- Use carpentry skills to create precise cuts and secure subflooring if necessary
- Apply adhesives and sealants properly to ensure long-lasting adhesion of flooring materials
- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to maintain high standards
- Assist with other construction tasks such as painting or minor carpentry as needed to support project completion
Requirements
- Proven construction experience, particularly in flooring installation or related trades
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, pry bars, trowels, and measuring devices
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and ability to interpret schematics and blueprints
- Experience with power tools including drills, cutters, and sanders for efficient installation
- Familiarity with construction painting is a plus for preparing surfaces before flooring installation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to quality workmanship
Pay: £35.00 per hour
