The Role
We are recruiting for a HR & People Operations Lead to join our team. This is a new and developing role due to the growth and success of our business. As a visible and approachable member of the team, the HR & People Operations Lead will champion employee wellbeing and support the leadership team to maintain a respectful, inclusive, safe and positive work environment, allowing people to thrive and do their best work. This role would best suit someone who enjoys combining people leadership with operational excellence.
What the role will involve:
HR Operations
- Manage employee relations cases including conduct, capability, sickness, and informal conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR documentation, including employee data, training records, absence and incident reports.
- Support recruitment and lead onboarding as well as the induction process
People Leadership & Line Management
- Provide general oversight and support to allocated staff groups as required by the business.
- Conduct performance reviews, probation management, coaching, and day to day support.
- Monitor attendance, conduct, capability, and escalate concerns appropriately.
Training & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and best practice
- Support with coordinating skills specific training, as well as professional development training.
- Ensure staff follow company policies, and work alongside the Quality Assurance Manager to maintain the company’s health & safety standards and mandatory training requirements.
- Monitor legislative changes and update policies accordingly.
Operational Support
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to improve workflows, documentation accuracy, and job progression.
Culture & Engagement
- Promote a supportive, fair, and consistent working environment.
- Encourage team communication, and professional behaviour on customer sites.
- Uphold Red Dragon Cleaning & Restorations values in all interactions with staff, clients, and partners.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong HR experience at Advisor level or above; CIPD Level 3–5 desirable.
- Proven line management experience in a operational environment.
- Customer-focused and committed to delivering a great experience for colleagues and managers.
- Ability to coach staff, manage conflict, and maintain calm professionalism.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience using HR systems and producing management information
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive, organised and always looking for ways to improve how things are done.

The successful candidate will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday based between our Ammanford Head Office and their own home office.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £32,000.00 per year
