Warehouse Operative – ORBITER AVIATION
Position Summary
ORBITER AVIATION is looking for a reliable, organised, and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods, parts, and materials are received, stored, recorded, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role that requires good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and put away incoming goods and materials
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
- Ensure all goods are correctly labelled and stored
- Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control
- Process goods received and dispatch documentation
- Enter and update stock information on the company system
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged goods
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organised, and safe
- Follow company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required
- Coordinate with the purchasing, finance, and operations teams
- Handle aviation parts and equipment with appropriate care and attention
- Perform other warehouse and administrative duties as required
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics, or similar role in the UK
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English
- Basic computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures
- Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using warehouse management or stock control systems
- Experience handling technical or aviation parts
- Forklift licence would be an advantage
- Full UK driving licence would be an advantage
- Knowledge of stock control and inventory management
