Our growing company provides pet cremation services to our clients and we are looking to recruit an integral team member to be caring, reliable, flexible and hardworking. With good customer & people skills you will be an ambassador for our company by which customers and the general public will judge us.
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety in their job. This varied role can change from day to day and involves dealing directly with members of the public and businesses that require our services as well as being hands on in supporting all departments day to day activities that keep are operation running efficiently.
Petrest Services -
- Dealing directly with grieving members of the public, being compassionate and empathetic following the loss of family pets.
- Collecting pets from peoples homes using our dedicated van.
- Offering different options for the return of owners cremated pets ashes.
- Keeping the bereavement suites neat, tidy and in a clean condition.
- Preparing pets for viewing by our attending visitors.
- Greeting customers onto site and guiding them through the process.
Vet Collections–
- Driving of 3.5T LWB vehicle to multiple vet practices to collect deceased pets and clinical waste.
- Performing daily walk around checks to confirm condition and safety of the vehicle, reporting any defects identified.
- Personable interaction with veterinary staff.
- Undertaking manual handling of heavy items.
- Ensuring paperwork is accurate and compliant with procedures and regulations.
- Use of hand held tablet for job list and recording of information.
- Keeping vehicle clean and tidy.
Cremations
- Operating cremation equipment and machinery, processing deceased pets respectfully and compassionately.
- Prioritising workload through incinerators to achieve the best balance of quality throughput and fuel usage.
- Ensuring all documentation and records are completed accurately and according to company procedures.
Ash Presentation
- Checking traceability of ashes received from the cremator operator match the documentation provided.
- Packaging ashes with considerable care and attention into the customers chosen vessel.
- Sealing the caskets/vessels using handheld or small power tools.
- Use of computers, engraving machine and label printers to produce plaques and labels.
- Quality checking other team members’ work.
- Data processing and entry.
This is a full time permanent position working approximately 45 hours per week. Usual shifts will be Monday to Friday with varying start times depending on what role you would be doing. Flexibility with working hours is required including early mornings and occasional weekend work.

- Experience with IT systems, emails and Excel.
- Experience driving goods vehicles up to 3.5T.
- A full and clean UK Driving Licence.
