WellCare Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy in Churchtown, Southport, which will be operating under new ownership (previosuly Sedem pharmacy) . We are looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys community pharmacy and would like to become an important part of a small, friendly team as we develop and grow the pharmacy.
Main duties
Dispensing NHS and private prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Managing EPS and repeat prescriptions
Preparing MDS/blister packs and supporting care home patients
Ordering and managing pharmacy stock
Liaising with patients, GP surgeries and care homes
Providing excellent customer service
Supporting the pharmacist with the day-to-day running of the pharmacy
To give advice on "P" and "OTC" medicines and prescriptions to customers as appropriate
To order stock and take responsibility for stock control
To receive, unpack and check deliveries from suppliers
To ensure stock rotation and carry out date checks
Essential requirements
Completed recognised Pharmacy Dispenser qualification/training
Previous community pharmacy dispensing experience
Good understanding of the dispensing process
Experience or confidence preparing MDS/blister packs
Confident using pharmacy computer systems
Good communication and customer service skills
Reliable, organised and able to work independently
Excellent attention to detail
Previous experience with care homes, MDS systems, EPS and repeat prescription management would be advantageous.
