Deputy Manager – Curriculum Lead
Full Time | Room-Based Leadership Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Manager – Curriculum Lead in Cirencester to join our nursery leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to high-quality early years practice and wants to play a key role in shaping and enhancing the curriculum across the nursery.
This is a room-based leadership role where you will work directly with children while supporting the quality of teaching, learning and development throughout the setting. Working alongside the existing leadership team, you will coach and support staff, drive continuous improvement and help ensure every child receives the very best start in life.
What you'll be doing
- Leading and championing the nursery curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, ambitious and responsive to children's interests and needs
- Supporting the quality of teaching and learning across all rooms
- Working closely with the management team to maintain high standards of practice and continuous improvement
- Spending the majority of your time in a base room, modelling outstanding interactions and teaching
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting practitioners to develop their skills and confidence
- Monitoring children's learning and development to ensure strong progress and positive outcomes
- Supporting staff with planning, observations and next steps to ensure learning is purposeful and meaningful
- Helping to create inspiring learning environments that promote curiosity, exploration and independence
- Working in partnership with parents and carers to support children's learning journeys
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery and acting as a role model for professional practice across the setting
- Contributing to training, quality improvement initiatives and staff development
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
- An experienced early years professional with a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS
- Passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences for young children
- Confident in supporting, coaching and developing colleagues
- A positive and inspiring role model who leads by example
- Experienced in monitoring quality and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Organised, proactive and committed to achieving the highest standards
- An excellent communicator who builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Enthusiastic about continuous professional development and staying up to date with best practice
- Happy to balance a room-based role with wider leadership responsibilities across the nursery
You will need:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Experience of leading a room

This role is for 40 hours per week over 4 days.
