Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

A leading global organisation within the manufacturing sector is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team at its Basingstoke site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, innovative business operating in a highly regulated environment, with strong investment in technology, people, and continuous improvement.
The site supports a wider UK and international network. You’ll be working within a collaborative engineering team of around 20, supporting production and facility equipment critical to quality and compliance.
The Role
You will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance, ensuring maximum uptime across manufacturing and facility systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across manufacturing, lab, and facility equipment
- Diagnose and resolve faults on processing and production machinery
- Support development and continuous improvement of planned maintenance activities
- Maintain and repair equipment including autoclaves, freezers, HVAC systems, and associated plant
- Work closely with external contractors supporting maintenance activities
- Ensure accurate use of CMMS and maintenance documentation
- Support calibration and instrumentation activities in line with site standards
- Manage spare parts usage and stock control processes
- Contribute to site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all procedures
- Work in line with GMP and quality standards at all times
- Support engineering projects and wider site improvements
About You
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship or hold a relevant engineering qualification
- Proven hands-on experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (electrical/mechanical)
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, food, med device or similar
- Understanding of GMP, quality systems, and documentation standards
- Familiar with calibration processes and maintenance best practices
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working across both production and site facilities
Working Hours & Benefits
- Double days shift pattern (Monday to Friday):
- Week 1: 06:00 – 14:00
- Week 2: 14:00 – 22:00
- 20% shift allowance
