Residential Support worker role- supporting young people between the ages of 8-17 years with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, in a residential setting. Engaging young people in meaningful activities, education and relationship building.
Creating a home from home feel within the house, by de-institutionalising our language and actions, supporting young people to build positive relationships and being able to maintain these relationships.
Abiding by Ofsted requirements and the homes policies and procedures.
Under taking in house and external training in all areas that the company feel is needed. Opportunities to grow your qualifications, we offer a level 4 qualification to all new support workers after their 6 month probation.
We are aware that at times, we can face difficulties in our job roles and this can be emotionally draining. although we say to "leave your problems at the door" we also know that sometimes this can be difficult. We offer counselling for staff members who feel they may need extra support as well as regular supervisions.
we often have dogs come into our home, this is very therapeutic for our children and sometimes even our team. Any applicants must be ok with animals
we are looking to recruit 1 day staff to start next month
Candidates are to have a full UK driving license.
This role includes weekend working within the shift pattern as we are a 24/7 home. weekends are required.
