Due to recent growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse / Production Operative to join our small, friendly team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position involving all aspects of warehouse operations, production support, order processing, and dispatch activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
Full training will be provided, although previous warehouse, production, picking, packing, or dispatch experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing online customer orders through company sales portals.
- Printing order forms, dispatch documents, and delivery labels.
- Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders to required specifications.
- Ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
- Liaising with drivers and warehouse personnel to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
- Completing administrative duties as required.
- Managing and replenishing stock levels to maintain efficient operations.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards within the warehouse and work areas.
- Assisting with production activities and general factory duties as required.
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 2:15pm
RequirementsEssential:
- 1–2 years' experience in a warehouse, production, picking, packing, or dispatch environment.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Must live within approximately 15 miles of Melton Mowbray.
- Own transport is essential.
Desirable:
- Experience using online order processing systems or sales portals.
- Stock control or inventory management experience.
- Previous manufacturing environment experience.
