Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support and assistance to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to residents' needs, and demonstrate a genuine desire to improve their quality of life. Previous experience in care settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Job Location: Mid Essex (Applicants will work in Mid Essex and environs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Support clients with medication administration in line with their care plans.
- Perform light household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, enhancing the well-being of clients.
- Help clients with mobility and other daily activities, promoting independence.
- Accurately maintain client records and report any changes in health conditions to the care coordinator.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of both service users and yourself.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Previous experience in care (desirable but not essential). Full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, manual handling, and medication administration (preferred).
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential).

- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Successful completion of Enhanced DBS Check (paid for by the company).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
