We are looking for a Full Time Warehouse Operative & Delivery Driver to work between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Start date is immediate.
Axel Products provides fixings and fasteners to trade suppliers. We have grown over the past year to the stage we now need another warehouse operative/delivery driver.
As a Warehouse Operative & Delivery Driver, your role is to ensure that the receiving, storage, picking and loading of stock is efficient and timely managed. You will need a strong work ethic and a real attention to detail. The fast paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency and with so much ground to cover in the line of duty it is important to ensure that you have a good level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks. Whatever task you are performing, your attention to detail will make sure that every parcel gets to the customer right and on time. Where the days orders are packed and ready to ship, your role will also include local pallet delivery so you will need experience driving a LWB Mercedes sprinter van.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Unload, load, sort and accurately record deliveries
- Checking the quantity and condition of incoming deliveries
- Pick and pack to customers orders
- Assist with the loading of outbound deliveries
- Reprocessing returned goods
- Support stock counts and movements
- Assist as required within all operational work areas
- Work to targets and tight deadlines
- Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and tidy
- Adhere to company procedures and policies
Skills and experience required:
- Ideally have previous warehouse experience
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job - e.g. lifting and moving heavy boxes/products
- Strong attention to detail and be able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Able to work as part of a team or independently
- Able to use IT equipment as part of daily activities (Hand Held Devices, PC)
- Numerate and literate
- Motivated and hardworking
- Forklift Certified
- Experience Driving a LWB van
This is a full-time position, 42.5 hours per week, specifically Monday to Friday 8.00am-5.00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
