Yarrow is a brand new restaurant opening at The Willowbury, our stunning new retirement village in West Malling. Designed to be a destination for residents, their families and the local community, Yarrow offers high quality dining in a beautiful setting with a focus on seasonal menus, exceptional service and memorable experiences.
We're looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen team on a full time, permanent basis (37.5 hours per week - some evenings and weekends included)
Working alongside the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding food, maintaining high kitchen standards and helping to create a welcoming dining experience for every guest.

What you'll be doing

Supporting the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen.

Preparing and delivering high quality, freshly cooked dishes to an exceptional standard.

Helping to develop seasonal menus that balance creativity, nutrition and quality.

Supervising and supporting the kitchen team, ensuring excellent teamwork and service.

Maintaining food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards at all times.

Managing stock, ordering ingredients and helping to minimise waste.

Ensuring every dish is presented beautifully and consistently.

Working closely with colleagues to deliver an outstanding dining experience for residents, visitors and the wider community.
What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar supervisory kitchen role.

A passion for producing high quality, fresh food.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop others.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to perform well in a busy kitchen.

A good understanding of food safety, HACCP and health and safety legislation.

A positive, hands on approach with great attention to detail.

A team player who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and service.
