Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Saturday Betting Shop Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a lively environment and possess strong guest service skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with betting transactions, managing shop operations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Previous management or supervising experience is advantageous, along with leadership qualities and basic maths skills. Duties
- Assist customers with placing bets accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash register operations and handle monetary transactions securely
- Provide friendly and professional guest services to all visitors
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the betting shop throughout the shift
- Monitor betting activity to ensure compliance with regulations and shop policies
- Support stock management, including restocking betting slips and promotional materials
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Support team members in daily shop operations and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods
Experience
- Strong guest service background, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Basic maths proficiency for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience working in a retail or customer-facing environment is desirable but not essential
