General Function
Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing stock and ensuring that items picked have a good date, are picked strictly in stock rotation order, it is the correct item and is the correct quantity – a perfect match. Ensuring that all stock is stored carefully to allow for easy distribution.
Delivering 3000 SKU’s to over 3000 customers across the UK and Ireland, requires excellent cross functional teamwork and our aim is to strengthen our existing capability, improve customer service and Deliver Delights Together.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all goods are picked in strict date rotation, packed and labelled correctly and with care, despatched via the correct carrier method and on a timely basis paying particular attention to customer specific requirements.
- Ensuring all goods leaving the warehouse are packed and wrapped securely and labelled appropriately
- Ensuring that goods brought into the warehouse are booked in correctly and located correctly physically as well as on NAV. Highlight/Report any short-dated or damaged product received to your supervisor
- Preparing appropriate paperwork and labelling to accompany orders Book onto appropriate transport
- Replenishing stock into pick faces with appropriate care with goods and paying particular attention to dates for stock rotation in order to reduce wastage
- Manual handling plus using Manual Handling Equipment to move goods around the warehouse and in the loading / unloading of vehicles
- Assisting with Rolling and year end Stock takes
- Disposing of out of date or damaged product by following the correct procedure/waste disposal method
- Ensuring the warehouse and other areas remain tidy, safe and clean
- Supporting the Company Quality objectives including audits, BRC compliance and other quality issues
- Ensuring all health & safety instructions are adhered to by self and others
- Supporting and communicating professionally with all visitors, customers, drivers, and other teams as necessary
- Other tasks as may be required by your manager
Person Specification
The role requires standing, walking and significant manual handling throughout the entire shift, a keen eye for detail, a team player, able to use initiative and be accurate in their picking.
Essential
- Good communication skills, written and oral.
- Ability to use computers including handheld scanners.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
Desirable
- Working with food products
- Bendi and/or Forklift licence
- Food Safety Level 2
- Fire Marshall training
- Health & Safety qualification
