Site Hygiene Manager (Site Based)
We have a permanent full time Site Manager role available, located in Northampton. This is a 40 hour per week role - mainly Monday to Friday but we stipulate five days out of seven worked per week to maintain the requirement to be flexible, as your role will include managing weekend and night shift staff also. The DHL site is responsible for the recycling unit on site, this is where the successful candidate will be managing the team effectively and safely to deliver the service level agreement.
Responsible for:
- Managing ISM’s relationship with the onsite client
- Manage a team of recycling operatives
- Maintain customer focus and ensure the team achieve agreed standards of service at all times
- Train and develop the team to ensure that they have the skills and attitudes to achieve agreed standards of service
- Deliver value to clients within the agreed contract costs
- Promote a safety culture across the site, by managing, maintaining, and reviewing risk assessments
- Ensure data is used effectively to deliver consistent and timely management interventions
- Manage all budget lines including hours, consumables, and uniform costs for the site
- Develop and promote continuous improvement strategy, policies, methods, and processes
- Provide regular updates as required by the Operations Management team
- Responsible for initiating recruitment and providing induction and training to new site colleagues

Experience
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Previous experience in managing a team (12 people in the team)
- Experience in building relationships and effective stakeholder engagement
- High personal and professional standards of behaviour
- Capable of demonstrating delivery of objectives and performance measures
- A full driving license with the ability to travel in the UK
