The Ouds is an independent luxury fragrance business specialising in premium perfumes, oud, home fragrances and accessories. As a growing company, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional products and outstanding customer service.
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Procurement Manager.
The Role
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for sourcing products, managing supplier relationships, negotiating costs and ensuring stock is available to meet customer demand.
Working closely with the Directors and Operations team, you’ll help improve procurement processes while ensuring we continue to offer high-quality products at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase fragrance oils, perfumes, bottles, packaging, gift boxes and related products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and overseas suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Raise and manage purchase orders.
- Monitor stock levels and plan purchases to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure orders are delivered on time.
- Resolve supplier or delivery issues quickly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Research new suppliers and products to support business growth.
- Work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure stock accuracy.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier information.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in procurement or purchasing.
A confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness.
Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable working in a small business where no two days are the same.
A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and purchasing systems.
Desirable Experience:
Experience within the fragrance, cosmetics, beauty, retail or consumer goods sectors.
Experience importing products from overseas suppliers.
Knowledge of stock control and inventory management.
