We are seeking a dedicated and patient Tutor to provide personalised educational support to students across various age groups. Duties
- Deliver customised tutoring sessions in specific subjects, adapting teaching methods to suit individual student needs
- Assist students in developing effective study skills and organisational strategies
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents where appropriate
- Prepare educational materials and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes confidence and motivation in learners
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to ensure consistent support for students’ development
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and progress reports
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or young learners
- Knowledge of special education needs and strategies for inclusive learning environments is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Passion for education and helping students succeed academically
- Organised, reliable, and able to adapt teaching approaches to diverse learning styles
- Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential; a genuine interest in supporting young learners is essential
- Ability to commit to scheduled tutoring sessions consistently
- DBS (preferably on update service) and right to work documents
- Minimum Bachelors degree in your subject specialism OR 2+ years teaching experience or QTS
- 2 professional references
