Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Travel Sales Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a seamless travel experience. Previous travel sales experience is highly desirable but not essential, as they will enable you to deliver expert advice and personalised service to our clients. Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences and requirements.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, accommodation options, and travel packages, leveraging hotel experience and hospitality knowledge.
- Assist clients in booking flights, hotels, tours, and other travel services through our booking systems.
- Upsell additional services such as travel insurance, excursions, and specialised packages to enhance client experiences.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and bookings to ensure accuracy and follow-up.
- Stay informed about current travel trends, destination information, and promotional offers to provide up-to-date advice.
- Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, or face-to-face with professionalism and courtesy.
- Promote deals on the companies social media accounts.
- Collaborate with suppliers and partners to secure the best deals for clients.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout all transactions.
- Be a good colleague working as part of a hard-working, friendly team.
- Meet and exceed sales targets.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and office area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in travel sales and customer service is preferred but not essential; a passion for travel is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail when managing bookings and client information.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative independently
- Customer-focused attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
