Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Adminstrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be maintaining compliance records, processing delivery paperwork, and tracking shipments. This position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and excellent communication abilities to liaise with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transport plans that optimise routes and reduce costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to help coordinate logistics operations.
- Utilise IT systems and software for planning, tracking, and reporting on transport activities.
- Maintain accurate records of transport operations, including documentation related to compliance and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of transport services within the overall supply chain.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction within the transport function.
Experience
- Proven experience in a logistics or transport administrator role is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in IT applications, including Microsoft Word and Outlook; familiarity with logistics software is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
- A solid understanding of logistics principles and practices will be beneficial for success in this position.
