Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled 360 excavator operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty 360-degree excavators to perform a variety of earthmoving and excavation tasks. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and driving skills to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate 360-degree excavators with precision to move materials, dig trenches, load trucks, and perform site preparation activities
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance
- Follow project plans and instructions from site supervisors to execute excavation tasks accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to at all times
- Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion
- Comply with all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate protective gear and reporting hazards immediately
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery operation and maintenance
- Proven experience operating a 360 excavator in a construction environment
- Valid commercial driving license with experience in operating large construction equipment
- Excellent understanding of excavation techniques, site safety procedures, and equipment handling
- Ability to interpret technical instructions, blueprints, and site plans effectively
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
- Physical stamina and alertness to operate machinery safely over long periods
