Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Ground Worker to support our landscaping and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience in construction or gardening environments. This role involves assisting with landscape maintenance, operating power tools, and supporting various site tasks to ensure efficient project completion.
Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance activities, including planting, pruning, and turf care.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators to support construction and landscaping tasks.
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper water management.
- Perform general site maintenance, including clearing debris and preparing work areas for ongoing projects.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently and safely.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction, gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with power tools and machinery are essential.
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems confidently.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, gardening techniques, and site maintenance procedures.
