We are looking for a hands-on CNC Machinist to join a growing engineering team producing high-quality precision components for the aerospace industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Machinist with experience in turning, milling, setting or operating CNC machinery who is keen to learn a specialist machining process and develop long-term career prospects.
Previous grinding experience is not required. Full training on Centreless Grinding will be provided. If you're a capable CNC Machinist with strong engineering fundamentals, we'd like to hear from you.
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing precision-engineered components while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and accuracy.
Duties will include:

Setting and operating CNC machinery.

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Working to tight tolerances.
-
Using micrometers and precision measuring equipment.
-
Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections.
-
Producing high-quality components to customer specifications.
-
Working with a range of materials including aluminium, stainless steel and specialist alloys.

Receiving training and development on Centreless Grinding equipment.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining quality standards.

Experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Turner, CNC Miller or CNC Setter Operator.

Ability to read engineering drawings.

Experience using micrometers and measuring equipment.

Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Aerospace, defence, medical, motorsport or precision engineering background.

Experience machining aluminium, stainless steel, titanium or Inconel.

Previous grinding experience.

Full training in Centreless Grinding.
