Effective Stays Ltd is a growing holiday let management company based in Shrewsbury, looking after a portfolio of high-quality holiday homes across Shropshire, Cheshire, North Wales and beyond.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial administration of the company.
The Role
Working closely with the Directors and our accountants, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring our bookkeeping remains up to date across multiple areas of the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing purchase invoices and receipts using cloud-based accounting software.
- Managing supplier invoices and preparing payments.
- Creating and issuing client commission invoices.
- Preparing owner payment schedules and processing remittances.
- Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Reviewing accounting records to ensure invoices and transactions are complete and correctly allocated.
- Assisting with VAT preparation and providing information to our accountants.
- Supporting month-end bookkeeping and general finance administration.
- Helping improve and maintain efficient financial processes as the business grows.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in bookkeeping or finance administration.
- Confident using Xero (essential).
- Familiar with Hubdoc or similar document capture software (desirable).
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Able to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider team.
- Proactive and always looking for ways to improve processes.
