Job Summary
LMD Vacuum Excavation is looking for skilled and motivated HGV Fitters to join our team. This role is based in our vehicle workshop in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance and repair work while ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant, and operational. Working as part of a dedicated fleet team, you will play a key role in maintaining a range of HGVs and specialist vehicles, helping to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Complete repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Perform MOT preparation and ensure vehicles remain roadworthy.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
- Complete all maintenance documentation accurately.
- Work safely in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Ensure workshop equipment is maintained and kept clean.
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Fitter.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or an equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (preferred), or a completed apprenticeship.
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on HGVs or specialist commercial vehicles.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- HGV Licence (Class 2) advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience Includes
- IRTEC accreditation or similiar

Pay: £38,500.00-£53,500.00 per year
