Pest Control Technician – Trainee & Experienced Positions
Empire Pest Control is looking for motivated Trainee and Experienced Pest Control Technicians to join our growing team.
We are particularly interested in candidates based in North London or within easy travelling distance of the area.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence – please do not apply if you do not hold a valid UK driving licence

Previous pest control experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
About the Role
Empire Pest Control provides professional pest management services to both residential and commercial clients. Our reputation is built on thorough inspections, effective problem-solving and excellent customer service.
As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for managing a service round within your allocated area and providing customers with professional, effective pest control solutions.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out routine pest control servicing and one-off treatments
- Inspecting premises to identify pest activity and potential causes
- Identifying pests and determining the most appropriate method of control
- Using approved pest control products, traps and treatment methods in accordance with relevant regulations and company procedures
- Identifying pest entry points and carrying out appropriate proofing work
- Advising customers on preventative measures to reduce the risk of future infestations
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records
- Communicating professionally with residential and commercial customers
- Managing stock, equipment and materials supplied for your work
Customer interaction is an important part of this position. We are looking for technicians who take pride in carrying out thorough inspections, identifying the root cause of pest problems and providing excellent customer service.
Training & Development
Training and professional development are an important part of working at Empire Pest Control.
For trainee technicians, we will provide the practical training and support required to develop your skills and knowledge. We will also put you forward for the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management at the earliest appropriate opportunity.
We are looking for individuals who want to build a long-term career within the pest control industry and are willing to continually develop their skills.

The position is home-based, with technicians travelling directly to customer premises using the company vehicle provided.
Where possible, your service round will be kept within your local area. However, you may be required to travel to other areas to support our wider UK client network.
Working Hours
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Standard working hours are generally:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Due to the service-based nature of pest control, flexibility is important. Customers may occasionally require early morning, evening or weekend appointments, and overtime opportunities may therefore be available.
A call-out rota is also in operation.
Final working arrangements will be agreed between the company and the successful candidate.
