About the Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join our growing civil engineering labour supply business. The successful candidate will support the delivery of labour-only subcontract services across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
This role will involve coordinating workforce allocation, maintaining compliance records, supporting project administration, and acting as a key point of contact between site teams, clients, and operatives.
The ideal candidate will have experience within construction, civil engineering, or labour supply and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and priorities.
Key Responsibilities Labour & Workforce Coordination
- Coordinate and allocate operatives to projects based on skills, qualifications, and availability
- Arrange short-notice labour requirements and provide cover for absences
- Maintain allocation schedules, and workforce records
- Monitor timesheets, hours worked, and attendance
Client & Site Communication
- Liaise daily with clients, site managers, supervisors, and operatives
- Respond to labour requests and provide updates on workforce availability
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site teams
- Attend coordination meetings and site visits where required
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure all operatives are fully compliant before attending site, including:
- CSCS/CPCS/NPORS cards
- Right to work documentation
- inductions and training records
- PPE requirements
- medicals and competency records
- Maintain accurate project and workforce documentation
- Support onboarding and mobilisation of operatives onto new projects
Project Support
- Assist with project administration and reporting
- Support commercial and operational teams with timesheets
- Maintain organised project files and records
- Monitor labour usage against project requirements
Health & Safety
- Promote compliance with company and site health & safety procedures
- Support the coordination of inductions and toolbox talks
- Record incidents, near misses, and corrective actions where required
- Ensure operatives meet site-specific safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience within construction, civil engineering, or labour supply coordination
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Understanding of construction site documentation and compliance requirements
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working with civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of UK construction health & safety regulations
- CSCS card
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
- Experience using project management or workforce planning software
Pay: £38,000.00 per year
